2 tablespoons olive oil
½ small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
16 oz can crushed tomatoes
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon oregano
½ teaspoon basil
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
FAVORITE TOPPINGS:
Grilled pepper chicken
Sun-dried tomatoes
Spinach
Pesto
Red onion
Artichoke hearts
Feta
Saute onion and garlic in olive oil until soft (5 min)
Add tomatoes, stir in seasonings
Simmer for about 10 min
Saute all toppings together, leaving onion and feta
Separate
